Journal — April 2020

So basically, until the COVID-19 pandemic begins to taper off and we can figure out where to go from here, we are changing things up a bit. We want Yonder to keep serving you guys great coffee from the world’s best roasters, but we want to be extra careful to work with small teams (good for social distancing) who are taking great precautions to do things safely. And as things keep getting harder for the coffee industry, we want to go back and support our friends around the world, who have been there for us since the beginning. So at least for the next few months, we will be featuring some of your favorite roasters from 2018 and early 2019.

Last March we had the privilege of introducing you guys to some of our favorite people in the coffee industry: Gabriella, Christian, and Markus of Morgon. Their coffees from Colombia blew us away (you guys still mention them pretty regularly, and at the coffee tasting classes we teach, some frozen coffee from Ferney Cruz almost always stands out as the class favorite). So when Markus told me that they were preparing to receive this year’s crop from Ferney Cruz, Sandra Milena, and the Muñoz family, 3 producers that made us fall in love with Colombia all over again, we knew we had to bring them back as soon as possible.
